Market insights

A market built for growth.

Iraq Market

Iraq’s real estate and construction markets offer significant opportunities, driven by population growth, urban expansion, housing demand, and ongoing infrastructure development. The Iraqi government’s National Development Plan 2024–2028 prioritises infrastructure improvement, sustainable development, and expanding access to adequate housing.

With continued demand for residential communities, commercial properties, modern construction materials, and urban development, Iraq presents opportunities for local and international investors, developers, contractors, and suppliers to establish partnerships and participate in the country’s evolving property market.

Kurdistan Region Market

The Kurdistan Region of Iraq has become an important destination for real estate investment, supported by residential development, tourism projects, commercial expansion, and infrastructure improvements. According to the Kurdistan Regional Government, 856 investment projects across key sectors represent a combined investment value of approximately USD 25.3 billion, with housing receiving the largest share of investment.

The Region offers opportunities in residential and commercial properties, mixed-use developments, construction technologies, sustainable energy, property management, and modern urban solutions. These sectors create potential for international companies seeking to connect with developers, investors, and business partners in the Kurdistan Region.

Erbil Real Estate Market

Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, is a key centre for real estate investment and urban development in northern Iraq. The city’s expanding residential communities, commercial districts, hospitality projects, and modern infrastructure create opportunities for property developers, investors, construction companies, and international real estate brands.

As a regional business and investment hub, Erbil provides a strategic meeting point for companies seeking to enter the Kurdistan Region and connect with the wider Iraqi market. Real Estate Invest Expo 2027 offers a platform to explore projects, build partnerships, and discover emerging opportunities across the property and construction sectors.
